Container Gantry Crane

The container gantry crane is mainly composed of a main beam, door legs, bottom beam, running trolley, lifting mechanism, large vehicle running mechanism, electrical system, operating cab, etc.

The specific structural composition is as follows:

• Main beam: The main load-bearing component adopts a box structure, and the trolley track is laid on two main beams. There are two forms of arrangement: track box beam and deflection box beam.
• Door legs: generally adopt a box shaped deformed cross-section structure, with a flat inner side and a large space inside the legs. Connecting rods are generally used between the two legs to ensure the size between the two main beams and increase lateral stiffness.
• Group beam: Generally a box shaped structure with equal cross-section, the trolley is connected to the pin shaft, and the connecting ear plate is a thick plate structure. Shear blocks are added between the group beam and the wheel balance beam to withstand lateral forces.
• Running trolley: The structure varies depending on the type of lifting mechanism, generally using a combination of box girder and plate girder structure. The cab, electric control cabinet, anti roll device, cable towing device, etc. are all connected to the trolley structure.
• Lifting mechanism: There are two forms, wire rope drum type and rigid telescopic type. The former has a simple structure, while the latter can be composed of wire rope drum lifting mechanism, hydraulic cylinder lifting mechanism, or balance weight gear tooth strip lifting mechanism plus telescopic guide steel structure frame.
• Electrical system: Adopting PLC and frequency converter control, the speed can be infinitely regulated, and it has voltage loss protection, overload protection, phase fault protection, automatic correction function, and anti sway function.

• Port terminal: Rail mounted container gantry crane (RMG) is the main equipment used in port container terminals for efficient and stable container lifting, stacking, and transfer operations.
