Bucket Shells:

Wear Plates or Liners:
To extend the service life of the clamshell grab bucket, wear plates or liners can be added to the interior of the bucket shells. These components are made of wear-resistant materials and protect the bucket shells from direct contact with abrasive materials, thereby minimizing wear and tear.
Rotator:

Lifting Mechanism:

2. Capacity and Size
Clamshell grab buckets are available in various sizes and capacities, ranging from a few hundred liters to several cubic meters. The appropriate size and capacity should be selected based on the equipment to which the bucket will be attached and the intended application.
3. Material and Construction
Clamshell grab buckets can be made from materials such as steel, aluminum, or Hardox steel, depending on durability requirements and the type of material being handled. Hardox steel is commonly used for heavy-duty applications due to its excellent wear resistance.
4. Shell Design
The shell design can be either half-closed or fully closed. Half-closed shells are suitable for handling coarse materials, while fully closed shells are ideal for fine materials or underwater applications.
5. Shell Edge
The shell edge can be either straight or serrated. Serrated edges are more suitable for digging or handling tough materials, while straight edges are ideal for softer materials or loose soil.
6. Attachments
